Every month we receive several requests from individuals and small family businesses who believe they have some outstanding products to offer. Most are good, some are very good. But a few really stand apart from the crowd, and these are the ones you will find on this site. As many of you know, I prefer small cottage industry over “the big guys”. Our American artisans produce some of the finest products in the world. Unfortunately, many of them do not have the financial resources to compete with the large, established, multi-million companies. So we personally test their products; we analyze them, if necessary. And if the products pass our rigorous testing, we sell them at Je Me Souvien and on this website. All are unconditionally guaranteed. All are proudly made in the USA. Let me begin with Saipua, a mother-daughter partnership that started in 1999 in the Hudson Valley, NY. All their soaps contain vegetable oils, butter, herbs, and extracts. Saipua soaps are hand-cut and air dried. They are wrapped in some of the most charming paper I’ve ever seen! Take a look at the Saipua tea soaps. Each weighs 3oz. (1): Chai Tea Soap, with its warm, earthy scent produced by an exotic blend of milk and spices. $5.00
(2): Rooibos Tea Soap, sweet and herbal, it’ll remind you of the rooibos shrub from Africa. $5.00
(3): Green Tea Soap, fresh and bright, laced with green tea leaves! $5.00
The Saipua Mango soap contains mango butter, silk protein, sweet almond oil and shea butter. It is an intensely rich soap that produces a creamy, very fine lather.

The Frankincense & Myrrh soap is especially loved by gents! Speckled with cinnamon, it exudes a majestic, traditional warm scent. I love it!

The wrappings may look funny, but there’s nothing funny about soap-making for this family business. They take their craft VERY seriously!
The Loon soap from this Company is my favorite. It has a beautiful north woods scent. It lathers well and is biodegradable. Made with pure vegetable oils, apricot kernel oil, and shea butter.

This is my second favorite soap from this Company. It is called Seafoam.
Its intoxicating, beautiful natural fragrance will steal your senses. So lovely! Approx. 4oz. $4.75
What can I say about the Gardener soap? In my opinion, this is quite a special soap. In addition to shea butter and olive oil, it also contains extracts of calendula (marigold), chamomile, and comfrey. These extracts have strong healing properties, and the olive oil combined with shea will keep your hands soft. Just what you need after a hard day’s work and play out there!
