The candles will be white or off white, depending on the aromatic oils used, and they will be poured when the order is placed - nothing stale sitting here. Your patience will be rewarded once you smell these incredibly scented candles!

My candles are made using the finest natural soy/botanical wax, and all are saturated with heavenly scents from top to bottom, with the maximum amount of fragrance the wax can absorb!

These highly scented candles will help bring relaxation and romance to your bathing ritual, but feel free to use them anytime and anywhere in your home.

Truth be known, I’m a candle freak. I have them on various pieces of furniture in the dining room, on the living room and bedroom mantels, in the foyer, and in the kitchen (where I prefer to use “bakery” scents).

And I invariably use candles on my bathroom sconces, and scattered in groups of 3 to 5 in various “strategic locations”. If you’ve never tried candles while soaking in the tub, please do: No artificial light can compare to the soft, sensuous, calming glow of a candle flame! They will add so much to your bathing rituals!

Please note: I will periodically change the fragrances. But if there is one that you absolutely must have after you try it, please let me know as we always keep the “recipe”, so we can make it especially for you upon request.

Before moving on to the scent descriptions, you may be interested to know that....

(1) There are no regulations in the candles industry. You’ll be surprised how many companies out there pass off their candles as “soy candles”, when in reality they’ll make a candle containing only 25% soy and mix it with 75% paraffin. So don’t be fooled by lower prices, because what you read on that label may not be true!

(2) Paraffin is a by-product of petroleum. As the paraffin in the candle burns, it releases over 10 toxins, a few of which are known to cause cancer. Once again, buyer beware! Our candles burn 97% soot-free, they are biodegradable, and you can wash off any soy wax remaining in the jar by using soap and hot water.

(3) A common practice with many commercial candle makers is to scent only the top portion of the candle or scent only a middle core. So the 16oz candle they sell for $18 may only have 4 ounces or less of scented wax.

Also, if you’re concerned with lead issues, avoid zinc wicks which contain trace amounts of lead. We only use cotton or paper cores.

Pepper Bay* : This is one of those scents that keeps you coming back for more. It’ll challenge you at first with its complexity, but as its inner, intriguing beauty is released, you’ll find yourself captivated by this scent. This aromatherapy candle contains notes of lemon leaf, oak moss, rosewood, cinnamon, bay leaf.

Coconut milk & lavender vanilla*: A luscious sweet lavender sitting over a bed of white milk. This calming aromatherapy candle aroma is one of our most requested to accompany and enhance the herbal baths.

Put pink sugar in mine: This is a scent your nose will never forget! Imagine vanilla and creamy caramel mixed with spices. Add to that some Sicilian orange, bergamot and fig leaves. But wait! Can’t you smell the romance of lily, red fruits and licorice blossom?? Wonderful!

Lemongrass & Bamboo: An exotic, refreshing and stimulating fragrance. Grass notes perfectly balance the zest of fresh lemon citrus.

Aloe with Watercress*: This one will put a spring to your step. Often used and requested by Je Me Souvien clients whose treatments include muscular therapy baths. This fragrance begins with subtle notes of lemon rind and palm leaves, followed by fresh watercress, aloe, eucalyptus and jasmine. Very crisp and green Spa aroma.

Cashmere: Top notes of sandalwood mix with refreshing cranberries. This is a very unusual and intoxicating scent that you’ll never get enough of! It will easily fill many rooms in your home.

Milk with Honey Oatmeal*: To the nutty almond base, add hawthorn, creamy vanilla and milk. This is a softer, soothing Spa scent. You’ll love it.

Balance*: When it’s time to regroups and restore balance, let the divine scent of Tasmanian lavender mixed with many spices help you.

Rain cascades down your windows… Turn off the lights, the TV, the radio, the telephone. Time to enjoy this heart-comforting aroma.

Many of have asked, “ Is there any way I can try a scent before buying a jar candle?” My answer is, “Yes, there is and yes, you can!”

Below you can see a very small sample of the available candle melts/tarts available at Je Me Souvien. With each scent you order you will receive 2 melts/tarts (same scent). Please read below scent descriptions for information about melts/tarts.

That’s right: you can combine aromatherapy melts with soaps, specialty skin products, etc. (jar candles excluded). Please understand that because of their very nature, melts/tarts cannot be returned.

I will now try to do my best to describe each scent. Tall order - I’ve never been that good at sounding lyrical, so bear with me…

Ginger & White Tea has the delicate aroma of white tea interlaced with subtle tones of fresh ginger. A soothing , mildly refreshing scent.

Dark Sugar: quite sexy! It’s an alluring blend of cedar, vanilla, licorice, Tonka bean, bergamot, anise and a hint of lavender.

Moss & Oak. I really like this one, but it’s a bit difficult to describe. I can tell you that it will captivate you with its intriguing aroma. A very clean, green, woody scent - strong too!

Relaxation is a soft, subtle scent, comforting, gentle. It’ll help you relax.

Grogg from the Celts I love this one. A blend of hazelnut, cinnamon and a tiny bit of coffee. A very popular scent with JMS customers.

About melts/tarts:

(1):Store them in a cool, dry place. Do NOT put them in plastic bags, unless the bags are made of polypropylene (if you see the number 5 in a triangle, your melts will be all right). Ordinary plastic bags - the type we usually use for sandwiches - eventually react with the melts and rob them of their scent. Brown paper bags (Kraft bags) work great. Cellophane also works just fine.

(2): Not all tarts/melts will have the same shape (we get bored shaping them all alike!)

(3): One more thing about candle warmers. The higher the wattage (higher than 20-22 W )the more scent your melt will “throw”. If you use a lower wattage, you will still achieve a very good scent throw, and the melts will last longer. From all the melts you purchase from JMS, expect at least 6-8 hours of glorious aromas!
